9A – Testing the Hypothesis Part 2
The Opportunity "UF students on a budget have a hard time finding accessible, affordable, and quality photography services because the average full photography sessions are generally costly."
Who: After conducting an interview, there certainly were potential customers who may benefit from using my service but fall outside the boundary.
What: There were students whose parents were willing to pay for a full-priced photography portrait session for their graduation portraits. They also were willing to pay full-priced session with a full hr for a special occasion such as graduation. And there were students who thought of getting resume photos either with their own digital camera with a help of their friends or just go to drugstores to get their photos taken. Some of these students did not care about the quality and craftsmanship of a custom photoshoot can provide but they rather prefer to get the cheapest way to get their resume photos through drugstores.
Why: It is not different because people inside the need have the same reasons for wanting a professional photo as the outsiders. I think there are certain factors dividing them such as budget or the other reasons I mention below.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting experiment for your business model because photo taking is such a personal preference. I know many people who only want to work with certain photographers for special events but it is great that your service can offer a cheap alternative at a good price. I like how what was in and outside of your boundary tending to explore the psychology behind what type of person would feel comfortable or want to take photos.
Your table of information is definitely thorough and shows that you've spend a lot of time preparing and thinking about this product/service. I feel that one thing that you might've missed was mentioning that this would most likely be a side-gig for now while you're a student, and don't need to make ends meet or have as many costs.
