8A: Solving the Problem
My solution to this opportunity is ......
to start a local photography service that offers 20-minute mini photo sessions targeting mainly the large populations of students and graduating students in Gainesville as well as anyone else that wishes for a service that offers 5 to 10 photos for a low price. My ideal price for the service is a $50 session fee that includes 5 photos and additional photos can be purchased $10 each whereas other known local photographers only offer the normal hour-long photography service starting from $150 up to $400 just for the session alone and images are purchased separately. In this way, I've found a niche market for people who want quality photos on a student budget. The reason why photography studios charge this amount of money is that they have a physical location and employees to pay. In my case, I'm working alone, I own all of my professional equipment and editing software, so I afford to offer a photo service for a lower price.
Byung,
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a niche market that fits to many people’s budget, the service you’re offering is a common but expensive one! I think it’s an amazing idea that could be quite successful, especially since you seem to be passionate about photography. $10 a photo including the service is a perfect price in my opinion. This could be ideal for special occasions or just wanting professional pictures done. It’s practical and affordable for both you and your potential clients.

ReplyDeleteAre you a photographer? As a student that plans on graduating, this seems like a great service. I did not realize that graduation photos were of such high demand, but such is proven through your interviews in 7A. I wonder if 15 minutes is enough time to capture five high-quality photos. Interested to see how you develop this further.
